"How can a bird grow so big!?"
Tidus

This enemy is found at the Bikanel Desert. This is the first enemy you encounter after arriving there. Its wings will glow and on its next turn it will use Sonic Boom, which hits all party members. While it may look intimidating due to its large size and somewhat powerful attacks, inflicting Darkness on it will make the battle against it much easier. When a Zu drops below half of its maximum health, it will fall, landing on the ground. This renders its Sonic Boom significantly less likely to occur. It does, though, give all Zus an annoying trait: They cannot be slain in one hit, unless from Death, abilities, and attacks that add Death, or Zanamto, while airborne. It will always survive with 1 HP if it was airborne before the attack came.

The equipment it can drop can have 2-3 slots (1-3 having abilities), with weapons containing either Piercing, Str +5%, or Mag +5%, as well as Darktouch. For armor, it is also 2-3 slots but with only one ability, Dark Ward.
