Jesse and Zane Duel each other in order to provide the energy necessary to open a wormhole so the Rainbow Dragon card may be transported. Jesse plays defensively while Zane launches ferocious assaults. Rankled by Jesse's negation of his attacks, Zane launches a powerful attack at Jesse with Jesse initiating an equally powerful defense. The energy created from the collision is sufficient for the opening of a wormhole. The Rainbow Dragon card is then transported to the alternate dimension. Meanwhile, Jaden tries to reunite with his friends back at Duel Academy after following Marcel when he acquired the Sacred Beasts. Unfortunately, Dr. Crowler becomes a Duel Zombie but with the help of Prof. Banner and his cat, they are able to escape. Also because of an intervention by Bonaparte, Jaden is able to do so. As the duel zombies converge on Jesse and the others, Jaden rescues them and they hide underground. Marcel then makes an announcement to Jaden: duel him in 30 minutes or all the duel zombies will die.
Zane activates "Graceful Charity", drawing three cards and discarding "Cyber Phoenix" and "Cyber Ouroboros". He then summons "Proto-Cyber Dragon" (1100/600) in attack position, and activates "Overload Fusion", removing "Proto-Cyber Dragon", "Cyber Phoenix" and "Cyber Ouroboros" from play to Fusion Summon "Chimeratech Overdragon" (2400/2400). Next, he activates "Cyber Ouroboros'" effect; as it's removed from play, he can discard "Infernal Dragon" to draw a card. Finally, he activates "Future Fusion", sending three "Cyber Dragon"s from his Deck to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon "Cyber End Dragon" in two turns
Jesse summons "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat" (1200/400) and equips it with "Crystal Release", increasing its ATK by 800 (2000/400). He then activates Cat's effect, halving its ATK to attack Zane directly (Zane 3000) and sets a card
Zane activates "Polymerization", fusing "Cyberdark Horn", "Cyberdark Edge" and "Cyberdark Keel" into "Cyberdark Dragon" (1000/1000). He then activates "Cyberdark Dragon's" effect, treating "Infernal Dragon" in the Graveyard as an Equip Spell Card and increasing its ATK by "Infernal Dragon's" ATK (3000/1000). "Cyberdark Dragon" also gains 100 ATK for every monster in Zane's graveyard (3600/1000). "Cyberdark Dragon" then attacks "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat", activating its effect to send it to Jesse's Spell & Trap Card Zone when destroyed, but Jesse activates "Crystal Release" effect, allowing him to place one Crystal Beast in his Spell & Trap Card Zone when destroyed. He selects "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle". Zane then attacks directly with "Chimeratech Overdragon", which can attack three times since three Fusion-Material Monsters were used, but Jesse activates his set "Crystal Pair". Since a Crystal Beast was destroyed in battle, Jesse can send a Crystal Beast to his Spell & Trap Card Zone to reduce Battle Damage to 0. He selects "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise".
Jesse summons "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus" (1800/1200) in attack position and activates its effect and sends a Crystal Beast to the Spell & Trap Card Zone. He chooses "Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth". He then activates Carbuncle's effect, Special Summoning it and as many Crystal Beasts as possible from the Spell & Trap Card Zone (1200/400) (600/2000) (1700/1600). He sets two cards.
Since there have been two Standby Phases since "Future Fusion" activated, Zane Special Summons "Cyber End Dragon" (4000/2800). Jesse then activates his set "Gem Fortress". The ATK or all Crystal Beasts on the field becomes 1000 and no monster that has ATK less than or equal to the combined ATK can attack, but Zane equips CED with "Power Load"; by skipping the Battle Phase of his other Machine-Type monsters the equipped monster gains 400 ATK (Chimeratech can attack thrice, plus Cyberdark Dragon's 1 attack, so Cyber End Dragon gains 1600 ATK) (5600/4000). As its ATK is now above 5000, "Gem Fortress" is invalid. He then attacks Mammoth, but Jesse activates his set "Amber Crystal Circle". Since Mammoth is chosen as an attack target, Jesse can increase its ATK by the ATK of every other Crystal Beast on the field (5600/1600)
At this point, the two monsters should have been destroyed; however, since they were battling between dimensions, the two monsters disrupted the connection and the duel ended at this point. A winner was not intended as the energy was to transfer "Rainbow Dragon" to the other world.
