Synopsis for "First Memory"

An unnamed being narrates its story. It was present as some type of primal energy since the dawn of time but in an "undefined" state. An ancient Atlantian sorcerer drew upon this primal energy and created a humanoid form for it and it suddenly understood awareness. However, the sorcerer Arion managed to destroy the humanoid form and trap the energy within a crystal. This energy was later freed by a young boy who created a world without adults using that energy. The heroes managed to destroy the humanoid form but were unaware of the energy's continued existence and, therefore, made no effort to contain it. Because the energy was drawn to sentience but was annoyed and hurt by it, it found a home in Red Tornado's android shell where sentience was present but emotions were not. Tornado somehow managed to tap into his energy allowing him to dream and develop rudimentary humanity. However, Tornado's encounter with Harm reminded him of his lack of humanity and Tornado became cold and distant even to his family. Secret recalled sensing the "presence" within Tornado earlier, thinking at the time it was normal, and she entered Tornado's body to see if it was still there. She managed to drive the being out of Tornado and it manifested as a humanoid. Empowered by the emotions of the team, it managed to tap into their imaginations for fuel by forcing the words "And suddenly" into their minds. Their various imaginations created numerous waking dreams which many (or all) of the heroes participated in. These dreams are chronicled in all of the following stories.

The energy from the imaginations fueled the being until he was large and powerful enough that the cave headquarters could no longer contain it and it burst free expelling the heroes. They attacked it but were unsuccessful. Tornado realized that it had planned to do away with all humanity and Traya told Tornado she didn't want to be without him. In response Tornado got the entity's attention pleading that he be made human so he could die with his family. The entity agreed out of surprise and Tornado embraced his family comforting them. The entity watched and was touched by his humanity. It found itself wondering for the first time what being a human would be like. It immediately began imagining it which caused his powers to create the reality. The being released its energy in an explosion and was born as a human baby. Red Tornado reverted to his android form.
