Worlds Apart is a Star Trek: The Original Series mini-series by John M. Ford. Unlike The Yesterday Saga, the two books in this series aren't connected, but were released together in August 1999, because Pocket Books discovered that readers are more likely to read mini-series novels than stand alone books.
