Wilbur Wright (April 16, 1867May 30, 1912) was a Human who, with his brother Orville, developed the first example of a manned airplane for Earth. This first flight took place at Kill Devil Hill in North Carolina. (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins)

They have been referenced by the Muppets on multiple occasions.

  • Sam the Eagle plays a patent officer in a sketch with Marty Feldman, who plays Wilbur and Orville Wright (his mother wanted twins) in episode 518 of The Muppet Show. Wilbur and Orville wants to patent the flying carpet -- but when Sam asks for details, he learns that the flying carpet is on the floor of a passenger jet.
