The loose collection of individuals who travel and adventure with Travis Morgan, the Warlord of Skartaris are informally referred to as the Warlord Family. In order of appearance:
- Tara: Warlord's wife, a beautiful barbarian warrior and the Queen of Shamballah. Together, they had a child, Joshua Morgan. First appearance: 1st Issue Special #8.
- Machiste: Warlord's best friend, the Warrior King of Kiro. Machiste has a mace instead of a hand, and is the lover of Mariah Romanova. First appearance: Warlord #2.
- Mariah: A Russian fencing champion, and an archaeologist who was persuaded to come with the Warlord into Skartaris during one of his few visits to the surface. She is romantically partnered with Machiste, and Mikola Rostov was her former teacher. First appearance: Warlord #6.
- Shakira: A shape-shifting female, it is unclear whether Shakira is a woman who can turn into a cat or a cat who can turn into a woman. Although usually completely independent, she is fiercely loyal to the Warlord. First appearance: Warlord #32.
- Jennifer Morgan: Travis Morgan's daughter from his first marriage, Jennifer traveled to Skartaris in search of her father. She developed magical powers, and accompanies and assists him as a sorceress. First appearance: Warlord #38.

- When new people arrive in Skartaris from the outside world, they are often directed there by Professor Lakely.
