Mr Wagner was one of Mr Finch's Krillitanes who took over the Deffry Vale High School in order solve the Skasis Paradigm and become "gods". All the Krillitanes were destroyed when K-9 blew up a can of their oil. (DW: School Reunion)

He is unique in the fact his true Krillitane form is grey. He is the only one known to have this look.

In a deleted scene, Mr Wagner became a vegetarian because when Mrs Jackson offered him a rat he claimed to have turned organic.

The following is based on Van Buren and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

Wagner is a salvager ghoul living in Denver. Formerly of the Necropolis, made his way north to Gecko, left Gecko after a few months. Lived as a traveler, selling supplies and working as a light mechanic/electrician to towns. Friendly-looking (big happy grin), goggles. Never sure you can quite trust him. He seems nice and friendly, though.

He is actually working for Willem Clark in the Reservation. If the radio tower is every fully operational, he'll try to send a signal. Will be surprised to see Measles if he shows up and kinda nervous (chance? Or is Willem doing a followup?).

Wagner was a Lieutenant in the UNSC Navy and a member of the Office of Naval Intelligence.

Biography

Wagner was trained at the Reach Naval Academy, which was the closest thing he had ever had to a home in the Outer Colonies.[1] In 2550, he had almost a third of his body burned away by Covenant plasma. He didn't scream or shed a tear when he was burnt.[1]

Wagner held the rank of Lieutenant in 2552. Lieutenant Wagner's Prowler was one of few vessels to escape the catastrophic Battle of Reach in 2552. It was not officially stated that he broke Article 1 of the Cole Protocol, but it was implied more subtly.[2] Fortunately, it is suggested the Covenant did not follow him. He prepared the official report for the UNSC about the fall of planet Reach and was debriefed about it by the Security Council Committee, consisting of, but not limited to Colonel James Ackerson, Fleet Admiral Terrence Hood, Major General Nicolas Strauss and about a half-dozen other command rank UNSC officers at HighCom Facility Bravo-6, HIGHCOM's headquarters. He gave them all the information he had, including the escape of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, and the apparent glassing of the planet.

The last time he was mentioned was when Ackerson questioned him about volunteering for a recon on Reach, which he disliked instantly. Ackerson ordered him to get a "clean bill of medicine before returning to active duty" ASAP. What became of him later is unknown.

Wagner was also acute enough to detect a huge breach in military protocol, when Colonel Ackerson appeared to be in a position to cow a Major General. Ackerson had a huge dislike of him, either because he had realized this, or as Lysithea simply put it, "he wanted to stick someone's head on a pike."
