Canderous Ordo protected by a Verpine prototype shield

A Verpine prototype shield was an experimental forearm-mounted personal shield generator in use around the Jedi Civil War. Though the Verpine are often credited with the design the unit was, in essence, nothing more than an upgraded Arkanian shield. Like its technological cousin, the Verpine shield protected its wearer from temperature extremes as well as sonic- and energy-based weapons.
