This Unnamed Lieutenant was a Company Grade Officer in the UNSC Marine Corps. ^[1] He was a part of the Marine contingent aboard the UNSC Spirit of Fire in 2531.

During the Battle of the Apex in late February 2531, he joined Sergeant Forge and the Red Team Spartans on the Apex control center, where he was suddenly attacked and killed by Ripa 'Moramee after opening a door of an elevator for the Spirit of Fire's Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engine that was going to be transported into the Shield World's internal sun and detonated in order to destroy the installation.

Oddly enough, though the Unnamed Lieutenant outranks Sergeant Forge, he seems to be nothing more than a foot soldier under Forge's leadership. This may be due to a heavy respect for the Sergeant, after observing his action of extreme sacrifice.
