Background information

  • Occurs roughly a year after the events of "The True".
  • The character of Rachel Stevens appears in the version of the story on the official Star Trek: Unity (crossover) website but in the version available at Star Trek: Swiftfire she has been replaced by the similarly named Rachel Daley. Originally what was just a surname change then evolved into two separate characters been created and Daley taking over Stevens' role in the story.
  • Also the Rachel Stevens/Daley character is referred by two different ranks during the story. At the beginning she is referred to as a Lt. Colonel while later she is repeatedly addressed as Major. It has not yet been established which is the correct rank.
  • Out of the main characters only Karak is missing from this story, having moved on from the vessel.
