This article is about the monster called Unicorn. For other uses, see Unicorn (disambiguation).
Unicorns wander around forested areas in RuneScape. On members servers, unicorns drop unicorn horns, which are used in Herblore to make anti-poison potions. They also drop the unicorn bone used in Rag and Bone Man. Their respawn rate is around 1 minute and 40 seconds, making world hopping (takes 40 seconds) a better option, (unless you are killing them on Entrana) for players who kill them for the Unicorn horns.

Highly populated worlds are suggested to kill them on, as the respawn rate becomes quicker.

In the quest Fur 'n' Seek, its hide must be collected and cleaned for the Odd Old Man

Strengths and Weaknesses

The unicorn is a fairly tame monster, and easy to kill. They attempt to flee if reduced to less than 10 hitpoints. In RuneScape Classic, unicorns were level 21.

Trivia

  • In Entrana near the Law altar when unicorns walk on the slope near the water and face east or west they appear to be parallel to the water.
  • On any other sloped terrain (i.e. the Varrock Mines), the Unicorn seems to be almost horizontal with the ground as if standing at a 45 degree angle.
  • The unicorn north of barbarian village is scared of players.
  • The examine Texts states the only example of horses.
