Ultros is a boss from Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. He is in the Depths of the True Moon. After the battle he drops the Knife, which is different from the ordinary dagger with the same name, and is in fact Sheila's kitchen utensil which can be thrown to cause 9,999 damage.

Strategy

Ultros does not start out as formidable opponent, only using weak attacks. After taking sufficient damage, the battle music will change and he will begin to use attacks such as Tentacle three times in one turn on anyone he chooses. It is safe to use Bands that can break the damage limit of 9,999, such as Sky Grinder or Double Jump.
