- —Ultima, the High Seraph
Ultima, the High Seraph, also known as Altima, the Bloody Angel, is the leader of the Lucavi demons from Final Fantasy Tactics and the game's final boss. She is given the title Angel of Blood and is associated with the Virgo Zodiac Stone. Saint Ajora Glabados, the founder of the corrupt Church of Glabados serves as her host body. Ultima was killed 1,200 years before the time of Final Fantasy Tactics, and the goal of the other Lucavi, led by Hashmal in her absence, is to resurrect her. To do this, three things must happen.
Profile
Requirements for Resurrection
First, Ultima needs to use a person as a host body. The only suitable host body is that of hero Ramza Beoulve's younger sister Alma. Second, the only location Altima can be resurrected at is the Airship Graveyard in the Necrohol of Mullonde. To get there, the Lucavi must use a portal hidden in Orbonne Monastery. Finally, as her title Angel of Blood implies, the resurrection requires a grand amount of blood be shed. The Lucavi use the Glabados Church's influence to evoke the War of the Lions for this very purpose. However, Hashmal discovers that this has not resulted in enough bloodshed, and is forced to take his own life to complete the ritual.

- —Ultima, the Arch Seraph
No sooner had Ultima resurrected, then Alma's will breaks free and separates from her. She warns her brother Ramza who had just fought with Hashmal to attack Ultima, but before he can do so, Ultima summons four Ultima Demons and transforms into a powerful demonic form reminiscent of a succubus. In her first form, Ultima is able to use several powerful attacks including a version of Ultima that is more powerful than Ramza's, Alma and Ramza can learn the weaker form of Ultima from this attack Blue Mage style. After enough damage has been inflicted on Ultima, she transforms into a giant skeletal monstrosity. This form of Ultima is even more powerful, packs more Hit Points and can cast more powerful spells like All-Ultima, her most powerful move, so strong that even Alma cannot learn it, and the move Grand Cross, which causes a plethora of status effects, including the possibility of Petrify. When this form is defeated, Ultima gathers up even more power in a last ditch effort to preserve her own life, but only ends up causing a tremendous explosion which destroys the Airship Graveyard.
