The USS Ticonderoga was a Federation Defiant-class escort starship in Starfleet service in the 24th century. It was one of a number of vessels named Ticonderoga in honor of places and vessels of Earth's history. (ST video game: Starfleet Command III)

In 2375, the Ticonderoga arrived at Ba'ku following the incident with the Son'a. (TNG novelization: Star Trek: Insurrection, ST reference: Star Trek Encyclopedia)

Neither the Star Trek Insurrection novelization or the Encyclopedia entry mentioned the class of the Ticonderoga but is used here for consistency.

No specific history or definitive final fate was established for this vessel as its name was selected for a ship by the Starfleet Command III game developers, and is sometimes placed randomly when the ship appears.
