The USS Sitak was a Miranda-class Federation starship that saw service during the 24th century.

Aimee Wessling's first posting following the Academy in 2365 was on the Sitak as a counselor. She continued to serve on the ship until been transferred to the USS Sydney in 2371. (Star Trek: Swiftfire)

During the early months of the Dominion War the Sitak was assigned to the Second Fleet. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Unfinished Business")

The Sitak took part in Operation Return in 2374. The ship was escorting the USS Defiant with the USS Majestic as the Federation fleet tried to break through the Dominion lines to reach Deep Space 9. The ship finally succumbed to enemy fire that succeed to bring down the ship's shields. It suffered a severe hit to its port nacelle before a torpedo struck the forward saucer. This hit destroyed nearly half of the saucer crippling the ship and taking it out of the battle. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels")

Forty-seven crew members survived the battle. Thirty-one escaped in escape pods and lifeboats while another sixteen were rescued during the recovery operation after the battle. One of the crew to not survive was Lieutenant Melissa McKenzie, the ship's Operations manager. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "Unfinished Business")
