The USS Protector was a Federation Steamrunner-class destroyer starship in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century.

Ensign Samantha Warren was assigned to the Protector as a junior science officer following her graduation from Starfleet Academy in 2377. She remained aboard until 2379, when she was assigned as assistant science officer aboard the USS Mathias. (Star Trek: Daedalus: "Happy Endings?")
