In 2374, the Honshu was one of sixteen Starfleet vessels assigned to defend the Setlik system against Cardassian forces during the Dominion War. (SCE eBook: War Stories, Book One)
Shortly after, the Honshu was transporting Skrain Dukat to Starbase 621 to stand trial for war crimes when it was attacked by Cardassian vessels and destroyed. (DS9 episode: "Waltz")

In 2366, Terri Letac was assigned to the Honshu straight out of the academy. She would serve on the ship until late 2373. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "No Rest for the Wicked")
In 2374, the Honshu was destroyed by Cardassian forces. (DS9: "Waltz")
Around a month after the ship's destruction Letac laid a wreath at the Starfleet War Memorial partly to honour the loss of the Honshu. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "No Rest for the Wicked")
