USS Enterprise (CV-6) was an aircraft carrier of the United States Navy in the mid-20th century, and was commanded by Captain Osborne B. Hardison in the early 1940s. The Enterprise participated in nearly every major engagement against Japan during World War II, and became the most decorated ship of that conflict. Among the engagements the Enterprise took part in was the Battle of Santa Cruz. (short story: "World of Strangers")
In an alternate timeline in which Germany invaded the United States, the Enterprise was destroyed. Alicia Travers assumed that Jonathan Archer was a sailor who managed to escape before it sank. (ENT episode: "Storm Front")

The USS Enterprise (CV-6) was a US Navy aircraft carrier in operation from 1938 to 1947, including during World War II where it fought various battles in the Pacific Ocean, mainly against the Japanese.
Enterprise Captain Jonathan Archer kept a photograph of the Enterprise (CV-6)'s Air Group Ten in his ready room. (ENT: "Twilight")
Although the Enterprise remained the most-decorated United States World War II ship, gaining 20 battle stars, she was decommissioned in 1947 and finally scrapped in 1958 (with scrapping finishing in 1960.)
A portrait of this Enterprise stood along other famous Enterprises aboard the refit Enterprise's recreation deck in the 2270s. (Star Trek: The Motion Picture)
