The USS Bozeman (NCC-1941) was a Federation Soyuz-class starship in service to Starfleet in the 23rd and 24th centuries. By the 2270s, the Bozeman was under the command of Captain Morgan Bateson.

In 2266, Mia Colt was assigned to the ship, having risen to the rank of lieutenant (TOS novel: Where Sea Meets Sky)

In 2278, Lieutenant Commander Hikaru Sulu was offered the position of first officer on board the Bozeman, which he was planning to accept before learning that he had a daughter named Demora. After he learned of his daughter's existence, Sulu decided not to accept the position and instead took a position teaching at Starfleet Academy. (TOS novel: The Captain's Daughter)

A few weeks later, the Bozeman vanished in the Typhon Expanse and was presumed lost. She emerged from a temporal causality loop in 2368, destroying the USS Enterprise-D in the process. Eventually the crew of the Enterprise found a way to break the loop and saved their vessel from destruction. It was then and there that Captain Jean-Luc Picard revealed to Bateson's crew what had happened. (TNG episode: "Cause and Effect")

By 2371, the Bozeman had been assigned to scientific duty. That year, the ship was forced to make a course correction due to altered gravitational forces in the sector due to the destruction of the Amargosa star. (TNG movie: Star Trek Generations)

Soon afterwards, the Bozeman transported Data and Geordi La Forge to and from Trilex. (ST novel: The Return)

By early 2372, the Bozeman had been decomissioned and was serving as a museum ship that was docked at Starbase 12. Captain Bateson and most of his original crew had been assigned to the newly-launched USS Enterprise-E. After the launch of the Enterprise, they were then assigned to the newly commissioned Bozeman II. (TNG novel: Ship of the Line)

USS Bozeman (NCC-1941) was a Soyuz-class Federation starship in service in the 23rd century. By 2272, Bozeman was commanded by Captain Morgan Bateson.
The novel Ship of the Line affirms that there were a total of five Soyuz-class ships. All had been converted from Miranda-class starships. The ships of the class were designated "border cutters".

In 2278, Hikaru Sulu was offered a post as first officer on Bozeman but declined after learning of the existence of his daughter Demora, then seven years old. (TOS novel: The Captain's Daughter)

Weeks later, while exploring the Typhon Expanse, Bozeman disappeared. The vessel's fate was finally uncovered in 2368 when the USS Enterprise-D also in the Typhon Expanse was caught in a temporal causality loop involving the Bozeman. After breaking the loop the Bozeman returned to Starfleet service. (TNG: "Cause and Effect") One of the engineering officers aboard was Rafael Villaréal. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Pomp and Circumstantial Evidence")

Bozeman was part of the Starfleet task force that intercepted the Borg in the Typhon sector in 2373. (Star Trek: First Contact)

In 2376, Bozeman participated in the Battle of Sol against the Vendoth. (Star Trek: Swiftfire: "United We Stand")
