USS Bondar (NCC-74669) was an Akira-class heavy cruiser on active duty in Starfleet during the late 24th century. (DS9 novel: Millennium: The Fall of Terok Nor)

Bondar was assigned to the Starfleet Tenth Fleet in the 2370s and 80s. (Starfleet International: Vessel Registry, 0801.07 revision)

Background

Bondar is also a Starfleet International chapter based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. (Starfleet International: Scott A. Akers, et al., Master Genealogy: Starfleet Region 10)

The fictional ship was named after Dr. Roberta Bondar (b. 1945), a Canadian neurologist and astronaut, as well as previous starships named Bondar.

The chapter decommissioned in February 2008.
