The USS Ahwahnee (NCC-2048) was a Federation Constitution-class heavy cruiser in service to Starfleet in the late 23rd century. Her name originated from a Native American word for the Yosemite Valley. D. Tathwell was her commanding officer in the 2290s.

In 2293, the Ahwahnee was on a deep space mission in Sector 21835. The Ahwahnee was proposed to be part of the fleet to rescue Captain James T. Kirk and Doctor Leonard McCoy in Operation Retrieve, which was vetoed by the Federation President Ra-ghoratreii. (TOS movie: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

She is represented by the silhouette of a refit Constitution-class starship on the Operation Retrieve plans. The name of her commanding officer and her precise location was provided on a page of the plans not seen in the movie.
