Trunks was a Hexen combat android with no purpose until he lived aboard the USS Phoenix-X in the late 24th century. Trunks was one of two androids from the long extinct Hexen planet. He was recruited by RaeLuna sometime before 2379, and joined the Phoenix-X along with her. (Star Trek: Phoenix-X)

Background information

Trunks was named after Trunks from the Dragon Ball series.
