From Final Fantasy Wiki

Trine, also known as Train, is a recurring enemy ability in the Final Fantasy series. It has different effects in each game it appears in.

Trine in Final Fantasy VI.

Final Fantasy VI

Trine (mistranslated as Train in the SNES release) originally appears in Final Fantasy VI as a non-attainable enemy skill. It inflicts Blind to the entire party.

Final Fantasy VII

Trine appears as an Enemy Skill, used only by the enemy Stilva and two bosses, Materia Keeper and Godo. It inflicts moderate Lightning-elemental damage to all enemies at the cost of 20 MP, making it a very valuable enemy skill to learn. However, after disc 2, if not learned before completing the Pagoda, it becomes one of the two only missable enemy skills in the game, with the other being Pandora's Box.

Kefka can use Trine as an HP attack. It summons three triangles to converge around enemies. Unlike other appearances, it appears blue instead of yellow, and unlike its appearance in Final Fantasy VI, it deals damage instead of causing status effects.
