Travelers are a race of people from the planet Tau Alpha C. The Travelers make up just 1% of the total population of the planet, but they possess extraordinary powers that enable them to control time and space.

If a Traveler encountered another being that they became impressed by, then the Traveler would act as a mentor to the being until they are ready to be "born" as a Traveler.

History

The Traveler is a nightmarish psychological entity that existed inside the mind of coma victim Sarah Conroy. When Sarah's parents died, her uncle Nicholas Conroy became her legal guardian and the executor to Sarah's inheritance. However, if Sarah died, then Nicholas would be unable to claim her wealth for himself, so he made certain to keep Sarah in a permanent vegetative state. Due to exposure to green meteor rock, Sarah developed the ability to communicate with people through their dreams. In her dreams, she envisioned her uncle as a monstrous entity cloaked in a blood red robe and calling itself the Traveler. Sarah was able to use her power to enlist the aid of Clark Kent in exposing her uncle's schemes and reviving Sarah from her coma. It is unknown whether Sarah still maintains her meteor-spawned powers or whether the visage of the Traveler still manifests itself in her dreams.

Dialogue

"Oh, hello! How fare you, friend? All this mud and wind and luggage have left Yakkington's fur a bit on the untidy side. I know Thorny Carapaces make some really strong brushes that would be sure to clean up my shaggy friend here. If you have 2, that would be even better; these snarls look particularly troublesome."
