Tibet is a former nation of central Asia, now occupied by China.

The Doctor travelled to Tibet in 1917, where he battled the Great Old Ones who attempted to be unleashed on Earth via his companion Erimem. (BFA: The Roof of the World)

The Doctor had previously visited Tibet in 1935 with Jamie McCrimmon and Victoria Waterfield, encountering the Great Intelligence for the first time. (DW: The Abominable Snowmen) Victoria returned there decades later (MA: Downtime).

Tibet is a plateau region in Asia, north of the Himalayas, and the home to the indigenous Tibetan people. With an average elevation of 16,000 feet, it is the highest region on Earth and is often referred to as the "Roof of the World".

• Gonzo visits "the Hen-a-Layin' Mountains" to find Camilla in the 1985 video game The Great Gonzo in WordRider.

• In a 2005 "Global Grover" segment on Sesame Street, Grover travels to Tibet and brings back a cup of yak's milk tea.
