The Vile Peaks is a location in Final Fantasy XIII. It is a set of mountainous peaks located within Cocoon. The peaks are highly industrialized, containing many robotic enemies, lifts, cranes, etc. Lightning and co. crash land here after escaping from Lake Bilge. Also here, the party splits, with Lightning and Hope separating themselves from Sazh and Oerba Dia Vanille. Additionally, Lightning summons Odin for the first time here, out of anger for having to "babysit" Hope.
