The Nick and Jessica Variety Hour aired on April 11, 2004 on ABC.

In a stage segment, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey begin to sing when they overhear another song being sung backstage. There they discover Kermit and Miss Piggy singing "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" for their own special, which is being managed by Pepe the King Prawn.

Other celebrity guests included Mr. T, K.I.T.T. and Kenny Rogers.

The special was directed by Gary Halvorson, who also directed The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland and episodes of Muppets Tonight.

The special was released on DVD in August 2004.
