"The Final Battle" (最後の闘い, Saigo no Tatakai) is the theme that plays during the final battle in Final Fantasy IX. Composed by Nobuo Uematsu, is the sixteenth track in disc 4 of the Final Fantasy IX: Original Soundtrack.

Also named as "最後の闘い (Saigo no tatakai)", the track was arranged for the piano by Shiro Hamaguchi, and performed by Louis Leerink.

Final Fantasy IX: Uematsu's Best Selection

In this 2000 release by Tokyopop Soundtrax, the track was named in English as "The Final Battle".

The Black Mages III: Darkness and Starlight

"The Final Battle" is rearranged and included in The Black Mages' third studio album, retitled "Grand Cross", being eponymous with Necron's most powerful attack.

Final Fantasy Remix

Under the direction of the original composer, a DJ duo group called Ante rearranged this track into a club remix version and included it as the eight track of the album, called "The Final Battle".
