The Texas Brotherhood of Steel is a splinter faction of the original Brotherhood of Steel. It controls the areas around Texas.

After the death of Roger Maxson, and his son's ascension to High Elder, Rhombus assumed the mantle of Head Paladin. After the death of the Master, the Brotherhood of Steel moved to aid in the eradication of what was left of his army; however, a Super Mutant faction under the leadership of Attis had plans to start anew with a hidden Vault in Texas. Rhombus, despite some criticism from the other elder council back in California, begins operations against the new Super Mutant army, now led by Attis. They traveled to the East to Texas. Here, he discovered the abandoned Vault Prototype and established a new base of operations within. Their heraldry was altered, showing a pair of crossed pistols instead of the usual sword and reflecting their new mission: the eradication of all Super Mutants.

Appearances in games

The Texas Brotherhood appears only in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. The name "Texas Brotherhood of Steel" was never used in the game, but was made up by fans to diffrentiate it from the original Brotherhood. It was also going to appear in the canceled Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel 2.
