Final Fantasy VI Character

The ten Moogles are a group of Moogles that are temporary playable characters in Final Fantasy VI, who live in the Narshe mines, where they help Locke Cole and Mog defend Terra Branford from the Narshe Guards. All ten Moogles are given different names, though they were re-translated in the Game Boy Advance version, truer to their original names in Japanese.

A note of interest is that the Moogles act as 'place-fillers' for many of the main playable characters; they share the character slots of most of the playable character, and are replaced by them when they are introduced in the story. This is the reason for the two glitches explained below.

  • Molulu (モルル Moruru; Kuku in the SNES version) is a member of Mog's party who fights alongside of him. Background information not revealed in the game itself states that Molulu is Mog's girlfriend. She is easily the weakest Moogle to fight in the scenario, and wields a Flail. The Moogle Charm Relic is a crystal ball she has given him; this is more evident in the Game Boy Advance version, where the relic is called "Molulu's Charm".
  • Moghan (モグタン Mogutan; Kutan in the SNES version) is a member of Mog's party. He can be obtained as a replacement for Celes due to a bug in the game if Locke is able to pass the Imperial soldier guarding the exit in South Figaro during his scenario. Moghan starts off wielding a MithrilBlade. If the bug is executed, Moghan will be a worthless party member; unable to do anything but Fight and with fixed equipment; he starts out bad. Later, Moghan is automatically de-equipped just before the Opera scene, and is given Celes' sprite afterwards.
  • Moguel (モグール Mogūru; Kupan in the SNES version) is a member of Mog's party. He wields a Full Moon.
  • Mogsy (モグシン Mogushin; Kushu in the SNES version) is a member of one of the three Moogle parties. He wields a Chocobo Brush. Like Mog, he is the default party leader of his group.
  • Mugmug (ムグムグ Mugumugu; Kuru in the SNES version) is a member of the anonymous Moogle party. He wields a Mythril Blade.
  • Mogwin (モグポン Mogupon; Kurin in the SNES version) is a member of the anonymous Moogle party. He wields a Mythril Pike.
  • Cosmog (ズモモグ Zumomogu; Kamog in the SNES version) is a member of the anonymous Moogle party. He wields a Boomerang, which is easily the most powerful weapon any of the Moogles use. Due to a bug, his equipment is removed after the Floating Continent crashes and added to the player's inventory.
  • Moglin (モグリン Mogurin; Kupek in the SNES version) is a member of Locke's party. He wields a Mythril Pike.
  • Mogret (モグプウ Mogupū; Kupop in the SNES version) is a member of Locke's party. He wields a Morning Star.
  • Moggie (モグッチ Mogutchi; Kumama in the SNES version) is a member of Locke's party. He wields a Mythril Claw.

Equipment and Stats

The Moogles have no special ability, nor do they have a Desperation Attack. They all use a Buckler as a shield.

Trivia

  • In the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary remakes of the original Final Fantasy, Kuku is one of the automatic names the player can choose for the White Mage job.
