Temper (ストライ Sutorai, also known as TMPR in the Famicom release and Steel in the Origins release), is a level 2 Black Magic from the original Final Fantasy. It can be bought in Pravoka and can be learned by the Black Mage, Black Wizard, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Ninja Job classes. It raises the Attack of an ally by 14. in the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary Edition releases it costs 8 MP to cast.
This spell is bugged in the NES version, as it does nothing.
There is a similar White Magic spell in Final Fantasy IX called Might that has the same effect.
