«We fight 'til the end, no retreat, no surrender, save to death.»
―Code of Telchine

Telkines were a warrior race native to Telchine in the Rhodes system though originally native to Tartarus. Their supposed fame as warriors was said to have been feared by even the Mandalorians and Sith. It was very rare for one of their own to be come a Jedi, and it was rumored that their ability to use the Force was enough to tear a small-to-large wound in the Force, though at least two Telkines, Har-Bin Jaar and Thel Andúril, became Jedi Masters during the New Sith Wars. During the Golden Age of The Infinite Empire the Rakata created them as intelligent but expendable commanders under the Rakatan warlords up until the Glassing of Tatooine. They were genetically related to the Krayt Dragon, and the Taung.
