Team Flag is a skirmish variant Playlist in Halo 3's matchmaking system that appears as a Double EXP weekend playlist. The total number of players is 10, five players for each team, with a max party size of ten, since this playlist is Social.
The Heroic, Legendary, and Mythic Map Packs are required to play Team Flag.

- Valhalla Heavy - Valhalla variant with liberal use of heavy vehicles and weapons.
- Standoff - Required. Part of the Heroic Map Pack.
- Standoff Heavy - Standoff variant with liberal use of heavy vehicles and weapons.
- Avalanche - Required. Part of the Legendary Map Pack.
- Avalanche Heavy - Avalanche variant with liberal use of heavy vehicles and weapons.
- Ghost Town - Required. Part of the Legendary Map Pack.
- Orbital - Required. Part of the Mythic Map Pack.
- Sandbox - Required. Part of the Mythic Map Pack.
- Utah Mambo - Asymmetrical Sandbox ground level variant.
Gametypes Played in Team Flag
- Multi Flag CTF (34.1% chance of being selected) - Teams score points by capturing the other team's flag. First team to 3 points wins. Players spawn with Battle Rifles and Assault Rifle secondary weapons. 20 minute match time.
- 1 Flag CTF (42.9%) - Teams take turns defending or attempting to capture the flag. Team with the most captures after 4 rounds wins. Players spawn with Battle Rifles and Assault Rifle secondary weapons. 4 minute round time limit.
- 2 Flag Heavy (23.1%) - Teams score points by capturing the other team's flag. First team to 3 points wins. Players spawn with Battle Rifles. 20 minute match time limit.
