Talora was the Romulan first officer of the USS Enterprise-G under the command of Neil Cross. (Star Trek: Renaissance)

The daughter of a powerful member of the Romulan Senate, she received the commission as part of an officer exchange program with the Federation, but also in an effort to expand her own personal horizons. She received several opportunities to return to the Imperial Fleet, but remained in Starfleet for varying personal reasons.

Her cold, strategic mentality often clashes with Cross's brash, passionate (some would say dangerous) style of command. However the two manage to work out a certain balance and even respect for one another.
