Guild Wars description

Swordsmanship increases the damage you do with swords and your chance to inflict a critical hit when using a sword. Many skills, especially sword attack skills, become more effective with higher Swordsmanship.

General description

Swordsmanship directly relates to the weapon 'sword' and skills required by a sword.

Swordsmanship is a requirement for meeting a sword's max damage.

The Swordsmanship attribute increases the damage, adrenaline gain and the ability to extend the duration of a variety of conditions on an enemy through swordmanship skills.

As well as increasing the critical rate, the swordsmanship attribute will add hidden damage by changing the Effective Damage Level (EffDL) if certain conditions are met. For further information about this, see Damage Rating.
