Early Life

Susan Ida Barlow was born along with her twin brother Peter. They where both the children of Ken and Valerie Barlow. They where the first twins in Coronation Street. Later in 1965, they nearly died in a house fire, because a piece of cole fell of the fire place and burst into smoke. Ken was out at the pub getting cigarettes and Valerie was furious. When Valerie was tragically killed in 1971 after being electricouted, Ken couldnt cope so sent the Susan and Peter to live with their grandparents up in Scotland.

Marriage to Mike Baldwin

In 1981, Susan returned and moved in with her father Ken and his wife Deirdre. She became interested in her father's business The Recorder and began helping him out. She started going out with Ken's arch enemy Mike Baldwin. Ken wasnt happy about this, and even decided not to come to their wedding. But Peter told him he should go, since he has never been there for them both, and Susan needs him. Ken went to the wedding after all and Susan married Mike Baldwin.

Pregnancy and departure from Weatherfield

Mike Baldwin wanted to have children with Susan and got her pregnant. She then wanted to have an abortion. She later told an upset and furious Mike that she had the abortion. He called her a murdering bitch. Susan left Weatherfield to live back in Scotland.

Return and Death

In 2001, Peter and Ken had an argument. Peter accidently let it slip that Susan didnt have an abortion and had the baby. Mike never knew about this. Ken went to visit her and she told him not to tell anyone, not even Mike. Ken then told Deirdre, then she told Dev, who then went onto telling Mike. While Susan was in Weatherfield, Mike was angry and demanded legal action. Susan decided to flee Weatherfield with Adam, her son, but ended up in a crash on the motorway. She died of her injuries where as Adam only suffered minor cuts and bruises. She was buried next to her mother Valerie.
