From Muppet Wiki

Survivor is a reality series based on stranding a group of strangers as one or more tribes in a remote location, where they must fend for food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves, while competing in challenges to earn rewards and immunity from being voted off by the tribe in progressive eliminations.

References

"Survivor: Musical Chairs" appeared in Episode 4134 as a parody of the reality show "Survivor". The Jeff Probst Muppet hosts, and the contestants are Telly Monster, Zoe, and Elmo.

In an outdoor setting, they play the children's game musical chairs. When the game starts there are two chairs and three monsters. The music plays, and they all circle the chairs. The music stops and Zoe and Elmo sit down. Telly Monster is left standing and "does not survive". One chair is removed, and Zoe and Elmo play the game again. When the music stops, Elmo gets the chair, and Zoe "does not survive". She joins Telly at the side of the set.

Elmo is not happy to see his friends so upset. He proposes a new game, in which they will see how many monsters can sit in the chair. The Jeff Probst Muppet agrees, and the show ends with all three monsters piling into the one remaining chair.

(Redirected to Fighting Challenge article)

From Dofus

The challenge system offers you the opportunity to increase your fighting gains (drops and XP) if you fulfill the set conditions. When a fight is started against a group of monsters, you will be given a challenge at random - two if you are in a dungeon or arena. It is completely optional - you can choose to either complete both, one or neither.

Challenges apply to all group members - each member must fulfill the set conditions for the challenge to be a success. Currently the possible challenges are:

Challenge Icon Description
Arachnophile Summon an Araknee each time the spell is available, for the duration of the combat.
Barbaric Do not use any spells for the duration of the fight.
Blitzkrieg Whenever an adversary is attacked, that character must be killed before their next turn begins.
Casino Royal Cast the spell Roulette each time the spell is available for the duration of the combat.
Clean hands Kill all monsters without dealing direct damage for the duration of the combat. Traps, glyphs, poisons, pushback damage, reflected damage as well as attacks by summons may all be used.
Contamination As soon as an ally loses HP, you have 3 turns to kill your ally.
Contract Killer Your enemies must be killed in the designated order. A new target will be selected each time the preceeding target has been killed.
Cruel You must kill your enemies according to their levels in ascending order.
Dodgy devs Finish this fight and you've won the challenge! It is well known that all devs are cheaters.
Duel When a character attacks an enemy, no other character must attack the enemy for the duration of the combat.
Elementary, my dear! Use the same element to attack for the duration of the combat.
Elitist All attacks must be made exclusively on Monster until they die.
Exuberant Use all your action points before the end of your turn.
First the mules The weasest mule must finish all enemies off (that'll teach you to 'mule' like a Lousy Pig).
Focus When an enemy is attacked, they must be finished off before any other enemy is attacked.
Gardener Plant a Cawwot each time the spell is available, for the duration of the fight.
Gravedigger Summon a Chaferfu each time the spell is available, for the duration of the fight.
Hermit Never finish your turn on a cell adjacent to an ally.
Impertinence Finish your turn on a cell adjacent to an enemy.
Incurable Do not regain any HP for the duration of the combat.
Keep moving! Do not steal MP from your enemies for the duration of the combat.
Limpwrist Never finish your turn on a cell adjacent to an enemy.
Low levels first! The player with the lowest XP must deliver the mortal blow to all enemies.
Maniac Enemies must be killed according to the descending order of their levels.
Mystique Use only spells for the duration of the fight.
Neither Piwi nor submissive Female players must let male players deliver the mortal blow to enemies for the duration of the combat.
Neither Piwin nor submissive Male players must let female players deliver the mortal blow to enemies for the duration of the combat.
Nomad Use all available MP during each turn, for the duration of the fight.
Pighead Use the same spell or close combat attack for the duration of the combat.
Protect the mules All your allies and all your mules must be alive at the end of the fight.
Reprieve Kill Monster last.
Scanty Each player must not use the same action more than once, for the duration of the fight.
Self Sacrifice Characters must not be healed during their turn.
Sharing Every character must finish at least one enemy (enemy summons do not count) off during the fight.
Sightseeing Do not reduce the range of any enemies for the duration of the combat.
Statue Every turn, finish on the same cell as you started on, for the duration of the fight.
Survivor No ally must die.
Tight Finish your turn on a cell adjacent to an ally.
Time Flies Do not steal AP from your enemies for the duration of the combat.
To each his pwn Each character must kill at least one enemy (enemy summons do not count) during the combat, Once a character attacks a particular enemy, no other character must attack that enemy for the duration of the combat.
Two for the price of one When a character kills an adversary, this character must kill one (and only one) more enemy during the enemy's turn.
Unpredictable All attacks must be made exclusively on the target selected by a character at each new turn.
Untouchable Do not lose any HP for the duration of the combat.
Unwilling Volunteer Kill Monster first.
Versatile Each player must not use the same action more than once, on every turn.
Zombie Use exactly one MP per turn.

Notes

Challenges requiring use of spells appear only if someone in the fight has the required spell (Roulette for Casino Royal, Cawwot for Gardener, etc.). Mob-size bonuses are calculated on the number of monsters minus 1.

Glyphs, poisons, and summons' damages and debuffs count as damage and debuffs done by the caster/summoner. This means they affect challenges such as To each his pwn and Keep moving!. Their HP does not count as part of your teams health, and so are unaffected by challenges such as Contamination, Untouchable and Survivor.

  • Blitzkrieg: Fails if you do pushback damage to an enemy but don't kill them before their turn. Does not fail if an enemy is damaged by their allies but not killed before their turn.
  • Clean Hands: Sadida's Paralyzing Poison causes this challenge to fail.
  • Contamination: Does not fail if you win the battle before the three turns are up. Does not fail if a summon loses health and three turns expires.
  • Contract Killer: Does not fail if you kill an enemy summon, no matter which enemy is the current target.
  • Elementary, my dear!: Does not fail due to different element damage done by summons. Does not fail due to damage done on allies or oneself.
  • Exuberant: Cannot fail on the winning turn; the final blow does not have to completely use up AP.
  • Focus: Non-damage spells do not fail. Fails if you hit an enemy summon after another enemy or summon has been hit. Will also fail if you hit another enemy after hitting an enemy summon.
  • Impertinence: Cannot fail on the winning turn; the final blow may be made while not adjacent to an enemy.
  • Limpwrist: Cannot fail on the winning turn; the final blow may be made while adjacent to an enemy.
  • Low levels first: All chars can kill enemy summons without the challenge failing. If lowest level is resurrected, that fails the challenge.
  • Neither piwi(n) nor submissive: All chars can kill enemy summons without the challenge failing.
  • Nomad: Can fail on the winning turn; the final blow must be made after the required amount of MP is spent.
  • Scanty: Does not fail by casting a spell which previously had a critical failure.
  • Sightseeing: Can fail if a Cra uses Magic Arrow, even if the hit kills the target before the effect takes place.
  • Statue: Can fail on the winning turn; the final blow must be made while standing in the correct cell. You must finish each turn in the same cell you started the turn in. This may be different from the cell you started the fight in, for instance, if you are pushed or thrown.
  • To each his pwn: Fails if you attack an enemy summon another player has attacked. Summons' attacks count as attacks from the summoner, and thus cannot attack an enemy that has been attacked by another player, but may attack an enemy that has been attacked by a summon of the same summoner.
  • Two for the price of one: If the enemies are killed during your turn, strictly two must be killed, or none at all.
    • If the enemies are killed after the player ends their turn (by poison, glyph, or summons) then only the maximum of two kills applies. You will not fail the challenge if only one enemy dies by summon, glyph or poison, but you will fail if three summons each kill one enemy, or three enemies die by glyph or poison before your next turn begins.
    • Be careful, as you may be left with one enemy, and will fail the challenge if you directly kill it as there is no other enemy to complete the challenge.
    • Killing two enemies and then having a summon/glyph/poison kill an enemy will result in failing the challenge.
    • Killing one enemy will fail the challenge as soon as you end your turn. So a kill done by poison/glyph/summon will not pair a kill during your turn.
  • Unpredictable: Fails if you attack an enemy summon.
  • Untouchable: Does not fail due to damage done by or on summons.
  • Versatile: Does not fail by casting a spell which previously had a critical failure.
  • Zombie: Can fail on the winning turn; the final blow must be made after 1 MP is spent. MP lost from drains or debuffs do not count. Moreover the challenge can also fail if you have no MP: you have to use 1 MP no matter what.
  • Unwilling Volunteer: Does not fail if you kill enemy summon first.

Background

The Vault 106 Survivor wears a Vault Lab Uniform and is hostile to the player.

"*" Unobtainable

Notes

  • While fighting him a hallucination starts in which you are attacked by your childhood bullies, Butch DeLoria, Wally Mack, and Paul Hannon Jr..
  • If the survivor is killed immediately when encountered, the childhood bully hallucination may not occur.
  • Behind the Survivor there is a room with a Mini Nuke in it.
  • If you have the Lawbringer perk you will be able to take his finger.
  • A Stealth-Boy will not appear in the loot table even if he is killed before he uses it.
  • He has noticeably more health than a standard human NPC.
  • The "Survivor" is on the lowest floor in the Science Lab.
  • When low on health, the Survivor will use a Stealth Boy causing you to miss any shots taken in V.A.T.S..
  • The Survivor is randomly generated, looks different in each game, and may actually be male or female.

Bugs

  • During the hallucination of the "childhood fight" your game can freeze up and you'll have to restart your computer and load the last saved point. (Confirmed on PC)
  • If you return to the room's entry door (or mid stairs) the Survivor will flee out of the room offering you free shots at his back. You can repeat this back and forth motion until he's dead.

From GuildWiki

This article is about the title. For the Survivor Insignia armor upgrade, see Insignia.

Survivor is a title that you can display for prestige.

It is awarded per character.

Survivor title track

To gain the following titles, one must obtain the experience required and incur 0 deaths (check with /deaths). Once the title is earned, it will not be lost upon death. However, your progression towards the next title halts once you die.

Rank Title Experience gained without dying
1 Survivor 140,600
2 Indomitable Survivor 587,500
3 Legendary Survivor 1,337,500

Notes

The Survivor title is achieved at level 20. The higher titles are to be gained between "levels" 49 (100 points below level 50) and 100; however, the Legendary survivor title is skewed a bit to reflect the 1337-ness of whomever obtains it.

The Survivor title track will show up at level 5 if the character has zero deaths. If the character dies before achieving the first title, the title track disappears.

This title is sometimes regarded as the second "Lucky" title, as deaths caused by lag are common, uncontrollable by the player, and halt title progression. In addition, the Survivor titles may have a negative connotation when forming parties, as some players striving for the Survivor title will zone out whenever the team is in danger, leaving the team to avoid dying.

Should the player fail to get survivor on a character, that character can never progress any further in the title, and the player must start over with a new character if they wish to achieve the title.

The Survivor title is only failed if the /deaths counter is greater than 0. All normal deaths in both PvE and PvP add to this counter. Most forced deaths do not, although some (especially deaths during cutscenes) have been bugged in the past and did count.

For additional information on how to achieve this title and the kinds of "deaths" that won't fail the title, see the Survivor title guide.

Trivia

  • Because the experience total at the time of the character's first death is permanently displayed on the title, some players intentionally kill the character at a specific point after achieving Legendary Survivor in order to have a "spiffy" or "geeky" number on the title. A couple examples are 1,414,214xp and 1,732,051xp (which are equal to √2·106 and √3·106 respectively, rounded to the nearest integer).

The survivors, or castaways, of Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on the Island on September 22, 2004. Out of 324 people on board, ("One of Us") there were 72 initial survivors (71 humans and 1 dog) spread across 3 sections (1 front, 49 middle and 22 tail). Most of these survivors have either spoken, or have been seen or referenced in the episodes of the show. Additionally, after about 40 days on the Island, Aaron Littleton was born. The plane was also carrying the casket with the body of Christian Shephard. When Jack found the casket along with other luggage in the jungle, he discovered that the casket was empty and there was no body of his deceased father to be found, arising some questions about Christian and his status. ("White Rabbit")

This article lists every character known to have survived the crash.

For list of only the Middle Section survivors, Tail Section survivors and Victims of the Crash, see List of Middle Section survivors, List of Tail Section survivors, and List of Oceanic Flight 815 crash victims, respectively.

Expanded Universe survivors

Several characters have so far only appeared in expanded universe media, such as video games and novels. Due to the status of this material, these characters are considered as canonical (or "real") as the characters appearing within the show.

Deuterocanonical survivors

The characters below have only appeared in the deuterocanonical sources of the ABC Diary and the website Oceanic-air.com. Although these sources are official, they are not created or ordered by the creators of the show, and thus the actual status of the characters only appearing here remains unclear.

Chris Dobson Semi-prominent, unknown Middle Redshirt, second author of ABC Diary.

Sally Rafflethorpe Minor, unknown Middle Redshirt, Oceanic-air.com.

Other possible survivors

Over 50 extras have rotated to portray the background (non-speaking) survivors of Flight 815. Some survivors have been given nicknames by fans, some of which have also been associated with specific names from the dialog in the script of episodes. This is merely an artifact from vagaries of the irregular hiring of such non-salaried extras: The number of individuals in the pool of every extra who has ever appeared on the beach dating back to Season 1 exceeds the "official" number of survivors. Therefore it is likely that in future episodes, some extras will suddenly appear, while others temporarily or permanently disappear. Extras that have been incidentally given or associated with a name in script dialog appear in the main table, above. See the main article for a full list of extras, and any given or fan names.

Picture Name Status Section Roles and Relationships
"Sexy Blue Striped Shirt Girl" Minor, Unknown. Middle Background character.

Tally of living and dead survivors

47 of the total 73 survivors (including Aaron and Vincent) are known to have either died or presumed to have died since the crash. That leaves as many as 26 remaining survivors, possibly more if some of the presumed dead characters are actually alive; however, 13 of them have been taken by the Others and are rarely seen.

Those who have died or are presumed to have died are (47):

Main characters (10):
Boone Carlyle, Shannon Rutherford, Ana Lucia Cortez, Libby Smith, Eko, Nikki Fernandez, Paulo, Charlie Pace, Michael Dawson and John Locke.
Minor characters (37):
Gary Troup, Seth Norris, Edward Mars, Man on beach, Donald, Joanna Miller, Nathan, Scott Jackson, Leslie Arzt, Doug, Blonde casualty, Jerome, Neil, Craig, Steve, Richard, N.D. Survivor, Sullivan, Tourniquet Man, Gas Man, Woman, Tracy, Lance, 2 unnamed Tail section survivors and 12 unnamed Middle section survivors.
NOTE: Though presumed killed in the flaming arrow attack several characters have not been seen since earlier seasons. It is very hard to determine how many people were killed; however, executive producers commented that a lot of survivors died in the attack.

The known living survivors are (9):

Main characters (8):
Jack Shephard, Kate Austen, James "Sawyer" Ford, Hugo "Hurley" Reyes, Sayid Jarrah, Jin-Soo Kwon, Sun-Hwa Kwon and Walt Lloyd.
Minor characters (1):
Aaron Littleton.

The characters with an unknown fate are (17):

Main characters (1):

Claire Littleton.

Minor characters (16):
Rose Nadler, Bernard Nadler, Vincent, Cindy Chandler, Zach, Emma, Jim, Eli, Nancy, Curly-Haired Guy, Blonde Guy, German Tailender and 4 unnamed Tail section survivors.

Partially identified characters:

There are a number of characters that are either unseen (i.e. a name without a face) or unnamed (i.e. a face without a name). It is assumed that the unseen characters overlap somehow with the unnamed characters.
Unseen characters:
Tracy, Lance, Jim, Eli, Nancy, Curly-Haired Guy, Blonde Guy, German Tailender and characters identified in expanded universe and deuterocanonical sources.
Unnamed characters:
There are too many unnamed background characters to list. In fact, due to turnover in the background cast, there are more unnamed background characters than there are unnamed survivors on the island. Because of this, it is impossible to list specific unnamed characters unless their status is known.

Alternate timeline

In season 6 an alternate version of the flight of Oceanic 815 was shown in which all passengers survived. However the passengers on the two versions of the flight were not an exact match (eg. Shannon was on the original flight only while Desmond was on the alternate one only).

Star Wars Fanon

The Star Wars wiki of fan invention.

The Survivor was a Providence-class carrier/destroyer built by Mon Calamari Shipyards. It was created for the Confederacy of Independant Systems, who used it primarily as a battleship rather than for transporting cargo, starfighters or troops. It was, however, used to transport Draft starfighters on several occasions. During its time with the CIS, the Survivor was named P-103.

After the death of Dooku, many individuals, mainly droids collected on the Survivor and around eight other capital ships and left the busier areas of the Galaxy to found a new government on the planet Providence. After this event, the Survivor's owner, OOM 33, renamed the ship to its more well known name. The ship was key to many battles, including both the first and second Battles of Providence. During the second battle, The ship served as the main platform for most of the early stages. It was almost captured by Darth Tyler but was saved by Sollas Vikkal, Azz'gabat and Unit 933.

Unit A-10, the leader of the droids' new government owned a flagship called the Assassin, which he had a special configuration for which involved connecting it to the Survivor.

Quotes

Nightscream: "They deserved to live as much as me, more even! Why did I get to live? WHY?"

Jetstorm: "Beats me, kid, but I'll be happy to put you out of your misery!"

-Frankly, it beats us why, too.

Notes

Technical/Animation Glitches

  • Glitch

Continuity errors

  • When chasing after the escaped Nightscream, Thrust uses the transformation code "accelerate", instead of his usual "overdrive".

Transformers references

  • When Nightscream chastises the Maximals for losing the Beast wars, Rattrap angrily replies "You watch your mouth junior, I lost friends in that war." This is most likely a reference to Dinobot, and perhaps Depth Charge and Tigerhawk.

Real-world references

  • When Jetstorm ambushes the Maximals, he taunts them sneering "Honey, I'm home!". This is a recurring line from the 50s sitcom "I Love Lucy".
  • When Nightscream escapes he remarks about how he can't return to the others because he'll lead the Vehicons right to them. He then laments about how he'll be "alone again, naturally," a line from the song of the same name by Gilbert O'Sullivan.

Survivor

Overview

The Survivor is a NPC ally you can find during the mission Find survivors from another expedition from Technician Naylor (CoV, levels 35 - 40). He is the leader of the failed expedition you are looking for. He will be fighting a Chief Mentalist when you find him first, and must be freed so he can help you.
Once free, he will follow you and will attack any Hydra or Rikti in his aggro range. If your char is one of those stealthy types, free him last.

During my mission, the Survivor had slightly less hit points that a Lieutenant of the same level. He was probably a watered-down Boss class ally.

I have no idea if the mission would fail if he'd be defeated. His defense is relatively weak against the Toxic damage the Hydras use at range (like everyone else), but, being the Hydras weak against Lethal damage, his Melee damage output is fearsome, being able to defeat any Hydra he finds in a couple of seconds once he gets in Melee range.

Quotes

During the mission he will say the following:

Fighting Rikti: Lord Recluse will wipe you freaks from the cosmos!
Aggroed: Villain! You gotta get me out of here!
Freed: These things took out my squad. You want my help, you got it.

Information

Crab Spiders function much like SWAT teams in other cities, and are dispatched to deal with high-level threaths like super-types. They're equiped with full body armor, larger weapons and a set of mechanical spider arms that turn them into death-dealing machines.

Powers

During my mission, he used the Crab Spider Webmaster typical attacks:

Powers

Wide Area Web Grenade (Ranged) Foe Immobilize, -Fly, -Recharge
You have been caught in a web. You cannot move or fly and your attack speed is reduced.

Supression (Ranged, Cone) Damage over Time (Energy)
The Suppressive Fire from the Crab Spider is all around you.

Channelgun Ranged, High Damage, Energy, Foe -Endurance
Your backpack has a built-in energy Channelgun which fires bolts of energy.

Slice Melee, Heavy damage, Lethal, Foe -Defense
Your Defense has been reduced by the Claws.

Arm Lash (Melee, Lethal) Damage over Time (Toxic), Foe Slow
The poison on the blade is slowly damaging you and slowing your attacks and movement speed.
