Stockholm is a city located on the European continent of Earth, and was the capital city of the nation-state of Sweden.
The Peace Institute was based in Stockholm in the 21st century. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
In the late 23rd century, the Central Bureau of Penology was housed in the city, and was the clearinghouse for research performed at several Federation penal colonies, including the Tantalus colony. (TOS episode: "Dagger of the Mind")
Prior to 2267, a researcher at a laboratory located in the city accidentally ingested a large quantity of cordrazine. The researcher immediately began to suspect that he was under attack and barricaded himself in the laboratory. When colleagues were finally able to break into the lab, they discovered that the researcher had planted a chemically explosive trap which resulted in seven deaths, and a further twenty-three people were injured. Federation starships named USS Stockholm are named for this city.

Stockholm is the sentry guard of Megaton, born in 2252. He is watching the surrounding area for enemies from a catwalk around the Megaton gates. Should you or any one else come under attack, if it's in range, Stockholm will fire at it with his Hunting Rifle.

Normally, the player will never gain access to Stockholm's platform. However, through console commands on the PC version, exploitation of the VATS melee attack teleportation, or through some clever jumping, you may find yourself up there.
If you manage to speak with Stockholm, his only dialogue is, "The more time I spend talking to you, the less I spend watching for raiders. How the hell did you get up here, anyway?"
Stockholm appears only in Fallout 3
