Steve and Kristen were passengers killed in the crash of Flight 815. Claire came across their wedding plans after the survivors started to collect the crash victims' belongings out of the fuselage. After seeing the items, Jack said he wasn't interested in giving a eulogy for the victims, so Claire later led the memorial service herself. Claire mentioned that Steve and Kristen were engaged and preparing to marry, and that they were sitting a "couple of rows" behind her. ("Walkabout")

Trivia

• In her eulogy for the pair, Claire says, "I don't know their last name, but they were really in love and were going to be married." As they were not yet married, she should have said, "I don’t know their last names."
