The Starfleet 7th Fleet was a military unit, a fleet group of the Federation Starfleet during the Dominion War. The 7th was heavily embattled during the war.
Three months into the war, the Seventh Fleet was employed to stop the Jem'Hadar in the Tyra system in 2374, and only 14 ships survived of the original 112 engaged there. (DS9 episode: "A Time to Stand", DS9 novelization: "Call to Arms...")
They again took heavy losses at Sybaron, and was still at half strength during the assault on the Tibor Nebula. Benjamin Sisko was on Earth when the Seventh Fleet was attacked by the Dominion. (DS9 episode: "The Reckoning", DS9 novel: Hollow Men)
In 2375, the 7th Fleet, including the USS Destiny, launched an assault on the Kalandra sector, based on intelligence from Elim Garak that the Cardassians forces were weak there. (DS9 episode: "Afterimage")
The RPG The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon, published by Last Unicorn Games after they had lost their Star Trek licence, states that the 7th fleet was under the command of Admiral Bellamy and included the USS Kymyr, USS Iberia, USS Shima'van and USS Tyler.

The Seventh Fleet was a numbered fleet of the United Federation of Planets Starfleet active during at least the 22nd, 23rd and 24th centuries. During much of its existence, it was deployed along the Triangle area where the Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire meet the Federation borders.
"In service" since the late 22nd century, the Seventh Fleet saw heavy action during the Four Years' War, the Tomed Incident, the Federation-Tzenkethi War and the Dominion War. Its command bases have included Starbase 29 (under the command of Commodore Barry Johnson), Starbase 7 (when the Seventh was redeployed to the "inner" Federation after an attack on Starbase 29) and Starbase 88 (during the Dominion War).
In early 2374, the fleet was tasked with halting the Jem'Hadar in the Tyra system. This was a two-pronged attack, coupled with the Fifth Fleet and Klingon Third Battlegroup's Raid on Sector 432, to halt or at least slow the Dominion advance into Federation territory. The attack was a disaster for the Seventh fleet with only 14 ships, out of the 112 vessels involved, surviving the battle. (DS9: "A Time to Stand"; Star Trek: The Adventures of Argus: "Trial By Fire").
Later that year, the Seventh Fleet under the command of Admiral Arthur Bellamy took heavy losses again, this time at the Sybaron system. It was only at half strength at the time they were sent to Tibor Nebula, in the Kalandra sector, where they were going to attempt to cut off the Dominion. (DS9: "The Reckoning")
In early 2375, the fleet was assigned to launch an counteroffensive against the Cardassians in the Kalandra sector. Among the vessels assigned to the fleet at the time was the USS Destiny. (DS9: "Afterimage") During this campaign command of the fleet was given to Admiral Valerie Umstead. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
USS Endeavour was assigned to the Seventh Fleet and tasked with helping to rebuild Cardassia. (Star Trek: Hidden Frontier 2:6 "To the Stars")
In 2377-78, the Seventh's fleet commander was Fleet Admiral Lamia Jedrek. (Ships of the Star Fleet, Vol. 4: Star Fleet Operating Forces. )

The Seventh Fleet was also the nickname for the Starfleet International chapters of Region 7 — the Middle Atlantic States. Prior to the early 1990s, the Region also included New England; chapters in New England would later form Region 15. (Starfleet International: Scott A. Akers, et al., Master Genealogy: Starfleet Region 7)
