The Spectral sigil was released on 15 September 2008. It can be attached to a Blessed spirit shield to make a Spectral spirit shield. To attach the sigil to the blessed spirit shield, players need 90 Prayer and 85 Smithing.

It Is only obtainable as a rare drop from the Corporeal Beast or by trading with another player.

The Spectral Sigil appeared in the Grand Exchange database on 16 September 2008. All the other sigils appeared on 17 September.
The Spectral Sigil also seems to resemble a ghost, more so when attached to the spirit shield, presumably because the word "spectral" is meant to describe a ghost or wraithlike creature.
