Slayer cape: Misc

A Slayer cape is the Cape of Accomplishment for players who have achieved level 99 in the Slayer skill. The cape can be purchased for 99,000 coins from Kuradal, a Slayer Master in the Ancient cavern. Slayer capes are black in colour, and have a red trim if the player has more than one level 99 skill. Kuradal will talk to you whatever your Combat level, so she also sells Slayer Cape to people under 110 combat (The level required to get tasks from her). You also need 45 Firemaking or 15 Strength to enter the cave, with completion of the Barbarian Training to access Kuradal and the Slayer Cape.

It is difficult to obtain 99 slayer before any other skill, since hitpoints experience is gained at a faster rate. However, people have managed to achieve this through the use of :

  • It is completely possible to obtain an untrimmed Slayer cape although it trains at a slightly slower pace than Hitpoints. By using a Dwarf Cannon, the controlled Attack style, Poison, and rings of recoil, obtaining an untrimmed slayer or summoning cape can be done. A handful of players have used such a method to obtain one of these particular Capes of Accomplishment.
  • It is also possible (but incredibly hard) to obtain a Slayer skillcape at combat level 3. You can do this with the methods mentioned above (minus the controlled attack style and Dwarf Multicannon, since both will raise your Melee and Ranged skills, respectively.). Another way to get 99 slayer at level 3 is to use the Soul Wars minigame and buy slayer experience. An alternative method is to use experience rewards (from random events, penguin points, etc). Many skillers 'train' Slayer this way.
  • Slayer capes are currently the ninth rarest skillcape achieved by players.
  • Before the release of Kuradal on 8 December 2009, Duradel/Lapalok sold the Slayer cape.
  • With 2.92 seconds, this cape has the second shortest emote.
  • During the Slayer Cape emote, the player kills a Turoth. Strangely enough, this Turoth is killed without the use of any leaf-bladed equipment. This is possibly to show the player's mastery over the beast of runescape.
  • The Slayer cape gives a boost like the other capes, making Slayer levels 100. But since you can't wear capes in Soul wars, it is impossible to kill the other Avatar without capturing the Soul Obelisk.
