  • Unintentionally or not, Natalina Pushkin is also the name of the second in command of the Holoship in the Red Dwarf Episode "Holoship"
  • The phrases "instrumentality of mankind" and "death and rebirth," as well as the goal of the Somnus Foundation, appear to be references to the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion and the Human Instrumentality Project from that series.

Characteristics

The Singularity was an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards. Coated with a rare stygian-triprismatic polymer, the Singularity was almost impossible to detect at sensor range and nearly invisible to the naked eye in deep space.[1]

History

The ship served as Imperial Intelligence Director Cronal's main base of operations after he fled Coruscant while being possessed with an irrational fear of being in danger. The Singularity, its attached TIE fighter wing the 123rd Nightstalker Group and Cronal's own special stormtrooper division were all cast in obsidian to match his eccentricities.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Singularity was first mentioned in an article from Star Wars Gamer 5 titled The Emperor's Pawns by Abel G. Peña. An identical summary of the ship was published in the Rebellion Era Sourcebook and the ship was later given a brief entry in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.

You can create a very powerful Gravitational Singularity. The Singularity will engage your foes, assaulting them with various gravity powers. Any foes that attempt to approach the Singularity will be violently hurled away. The Singularity cannot be healed, but it is highly resistant to all forms of damage and nearly impervious to Controlling type powers. Type /release_pets in the chat window to release all your pets.

Though it cannot be healed, the Singularity may have its health Regeneration increased normally. It is virtually immune to Hold, Sleep, Disorient, Immobilize, Knockback, Knockup, and Repel effects, but not to other effects such as Fear and Confuse. It is virtually immune to Toxic and Psionic damage and highly resistant to all other types.

More powerful foes may be resistant to the Wormhole effects.
