Shonen Jump is a magazine about news concerning mangas and anime, as well as anime and video games based on mangas. Shonen Jump is based on the Japanese magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, but readapted to suit a North American audience.

The first issue was sold in November 2002, with the first issue having a January 2003 cover date.

The magazine contains serialized chapters from seven manga series, and articles on Japanese language and culture, as well as manga, anime, video games, and figurines.

Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist and Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium World were serialized in Shonen Jump, until the series was complete. As of the January 2010 issue, it says they will stop serializing the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga, even though they just finished the volume 4 chapters. Also in this issue, it revealed that volume 5 will come out in October. Yu-GiOh! R has been featured and serialized also. So far, volumes up to 3 have been published out of 4.

Promotional cards

Some issues of Shonen Jump come with free Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game cards. Other promotional cards are available as subscription bonuses or through mail order.

Due to the lack of avalibility of these cards worldwide, any Shonen Jump promotional cards that were not printed in other Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game sets, were Forbidden in the World Championship 2008 tournament.
