Shock is a recurring ability or spell from the series. When used as an ability, it is associated with the Warrior class, but as a spell is generally a high-ranking Black Magic.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

Shock is one of Edge's new Ninjutsu skills. It does Lightning-elemental damage to one or more enemies.

Final Fantasy VI

Shock is the special command ability of General Leo Cristophe and the Yojimbo Rage. It deals large amounts of non-elemental magic damage to all enemies.

Final Fantasy IX

Shock first appears as one of General Beatrix's abilities. Later in the game, Adelbert Steiner can learn it as a Sword Art from the Ragnarok. It deals large amounts of physical damage, roughly three times the damage Steiner's normal attack does, usually amounting to 9999 damage. It costs 46 MP to use, and can be learned for 60 AP. Note that Shock takes on the elemental properties of the weapon when used, so keep an eye on enemy weakness and resistance.

Final Fantasy XI

Shock is a Lightning-elemental Black Magic spell. It inflicts Sap and reduces the target's MND stat.

Final Fantasy XII

Shock is a Black Magick spell which inflicts heavy non-elemental damage on a single target. It is available on Black Magick License 6 costing 50 LP. The spell can be purchased at Balfonheim Port for 9,400 gil and initially uses 34 MP to cast.

The International Zodiac Job System listed Shock as a Black Magick 11 License. It is bought in Balfonheim for 7,800 gil and consumes 34 MP. Only the Job class Black Mage can use Shock.

Final Fantasy Tactics

Skill Trainers:

  • Despite causing exhaustion, Shock's low energy cost, relatively fast activation, and near-guaranteed knockdown make this skill useful for warriors to keep an enemy still or interrupt them.
  • The easy knockdown can be combined with skills that require a knocked down foe. Examples include Aftershock, Falling Spider, and Awe.

Shock is a Canadian born wrestler who was last signed to the Insanity brand of Lords of Pain Wrestling. He retired on August 8, 2009.

Early Life

Humble Beginnings

Growing up in Grand-Mere, Quebec, Pete Fisher had it easy. Surrounded by fun activities and beautiful scenery, he never really had to fight for much. He had been a wrestling fan since the age of four. When he turned fourteen, he decided to make himself a wrestling mask. His parents took it away, saying it was dumb and childish. He never forgave them. One year later, Pete decided that he needed some challenges in his life and used his vast wealth in savings to get on a plane to Brooklyn, New York, where he lived in a crappy apartment and attended local wrestling shows, also watching WWE and TNA 24/7. Once he decided to start wrestling, at 18, he got a mask (nobody knows who makes his new masks) and began using the names Shock. No one has seen him with his mask off since he started at the Brooklyn Wrestling Alliance.

Brooklyn Wrestling Alliance

Shock began wrestling at the Brooklyn Wrestling Alliance, and using his powerhouse style and intimidating size, he plowed through the majority of challengers. After beating all but two opponents, he was approached one day by a man not much younger than him, announced as "The Waverider" Aiden Irving. The man pushed him to the limit, not a feat many have accomplished. After almost beating him, Shock pulled it out with the Shock Bomb. Aiden came up after the match and asked to team with him. Shock decided that he was already the best in singles competition, so he might as well best others in tag team. The two began teaming as Electric Current, a combination of Shock's power and Aiden's speed. After about a year and a half, the two won the BWA Tag Team Titles. After about another year and a half, they were nearly undefeated and still held the titles. One day, Aiden came up to Shock and told him depressingly that they would be there forever, and neither one of them would make it big. Shock, however, had confidence in his abilities and knew that they would make it big one day. So Aiden made him a bet. The next day, they would face off. If Aiden won, Shock needed to remove his prized mask that he never took off. Shock was appalled. Aiden knew that that mask meant more to him then anything, and yet he made it part of the bet. So Shock made the best counter he could think of. If he won, and he made it big one day, Aiden would need to be his servant for the whole time. After a hard fought battle with equal fans on each side, Shock won once again, this time by getting up from a ten count. The two would continue to team afterwards, until Shock got a job offer from WrestleZone Championship Wrestling.

WrestleZone Championship Wrestling

Shock was officially signed to WZCW on October 29, 2008. Shock made his debut at the Sprint for the Spot battle royal, attempting to earn a spot in the upcoming fatal four way for the vacant WZCW World Heavyweight Championship. Although he tossed both wrestlers Kyle Christianson and Drake Callahan over the top rope, he was eliminated by (one eventual winner) Carmen Bratchny. Due to failed contract negotiations, Shock was released from WZCW on January 4, 2009.

Shock's Insanity Roster Picture

Lords of Pain Wrestling

Shock was signed to LPW on December 5th, 2008. He made his official debut on January 13th, in the pre-show to the Honor Roll pay-per-view. After almost winning, Aiden pushed him to go the extra mile, and it proved to be his downfall when he lost to Joe Michaels. On February 22, Shock won his Insanity debut when he defeated Genocide in a Tiki-Torch Match. At Insanity's next pay-per-view, Resurrection, Shock lost a five-man Hardcore Gauntlet Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for the LPW Hardcore Championship along with Kafudamaha, Saint Steve, and Joey Sosa when Killswitch used a taser to beat Sosa. At Insanity in Sydney, Shock and Sosa teamed up to defeat the team of Genocide and Justus, earning each of them +2 Body Count. If Shock is one of the five members of Insanity with the highest Body Count, he will compete in the DeathCube Match at Body Count in which he and the four others will challenge the LPW World Heavyweight Champion, X. At Insanity from Athens, Shock's Lightning Strikes Cage Match challenge was answered by Black Ada and Bobino in a triple threat match. In a match of his own design, earned another +2 Body Count, bringing his total Body Count to 4, the current highest, at the time, in LPW. Also, in a Backstage Brawl, he won in a one-on-one match against Hatchet Ryda, earning yet another +1 Body Count. This now ties him for the most with Wevv Mang and Villiano 187 with 5 points. At Insanity from the USS Bainbridge, Shock was the first eliminated in a fatal four way match with Mang, Villiano, and Big B. Brown, which Villiano went on to win. At the final Insanity before Body Count (from Glasgow), Shock lost to Mang in an All or Nothing Match, allowing Mang to steal all his Body Count points, giving him +11 and automatic entry into the DeathCube match for the LPW title. Shock decided that on August 8, 2009, it would be best to leave LPW.

Appearances in Other Federations

Mayhem Wrestling Entertainment

Shock was signed to MWE on December 8th, 2008. He made his debut in ICW in a losing effort to LaLa, Jesse Anderson (co-winners), and Mr. Markowitz. He and Triple G then lost to Markowitz and Shane Perry in his second match. After discussing his contract with MWE management, Shock decided that it would be best to leave MWE.

Full Metal Wrestling Invitational

On February 4th, Shock signed up for the Full Metal Wrestling Invitational. He was eliminated in the first round by Sarah Twilight.
