Shamus

Shamus is a leprechaun who pops out of the tree during the Lost City quest. The player must chop a specific tree north-west of the quest starting point in the Lumbridge Swamp. When spoken to he informs the player where to find Zanaris and enter. You may find the tree easily, because it is the only tree which has a message saying "Chop tree" instead of "Chop down tree". He commonly refers to the player as a 'big elephant', contrary to the fact that elephants are not known to exist in RuneScape.

Shamus was not graphically updated with the first tool leprechaun update on 25 February, 2009. However, he received a graphical rework on on 27 May, 2009.

The Shamus was a Nebulon-B2 frigate that served under the command of Imperial Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin. The warship was pivotal to the outcome of the battles in the Mylok system that centered around the transfer to Imperial hands of advanced hyperdrive technology developed by the Habeen and Nharwaak.

Future Emperor's Hand Maarek Stele was posted aboard the Shamus, and played a key role in the success of the frigate's engagements.
