The Sequoia-class was a Federation heavy cruiser that saw service during the 24th century.

The Sequoia was based on the Galaxy-class and is sometimes referred to as the "baby" Galaxy. The main difference between the two classes is the shorter neck joining the engineering hull to the saucer section. (LUG RPG: Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 1: The Ships of Starfleet)
