The fifteenth season of Doctor Who ran between 3rd September 1977 and 11th March 1978. This season introduced K-9 to the series and saw the departure of Leela. It consisted of 6 serials and 26 episodes.

  • This is the first season to have the Sesame Street sign and the CTW logo on the top of the screen.
  • After a nine year absence, Joe Raposo returned to his old job as musical director and would remain with the show until his death.
  • This was the first season with the Muppets Inc. copyright, in addition to the Children's Television Workshop copyright, at the end of the episodes.
