Candice "Candy" Jean Gennaro, is a sixteen year old runaway and street thief on the streets of San Diego, California, who stumbles onto the scene of a three-way battle between the Lord Kobra and his green armored forces, and Lady Eve's black armored splinter faction of the Kobra organization. Candy ends up trapped inside a forcefield thrown up by Kobra to keep out early respondents from the Justice League.

Candy falls into Kobra's Sea Serpent submarine while running across the impromptu dockside battlefield, while crawling through the submarine's ductwork she overhears Lord Naga-Naga himself discussing the properties of the Serpent's Egg in the company of two mutated Serpent Men and several human lackeys. The Serpent's Egg is an alien artifact that fell to Earth centuries ago, it has psycho-interactive properties that would make the perfect armor. Kobra decided to steal the gem when he discovered that it was no longer dormant. Candy steals the Egg and it bonds to her body forming a nearly impenetrable second skin which allows her to battle and escape Kobra's minions and the submarine. Apparently the gem has lifebonded to Candy.[1]

On the run from the forces of Kobra, Candy decides to seek safety in numbers and heads for the headquarters of the Power Company, there she discovers members of the mercenary group known as the Strike Force on the roof planning to assault the company. The Strike Force plans to take Josiah Power hostage and steal transportation out of the city. Candy engages the Strike Force but is knocked unconscious after a short struggle, the mercenaries are later defeated by a transformed Josiah Power. Due to these events Candy joins the Power Company as an Associate, using the codename Sapphire. She remains with the team for a time.[2]

More recently, Sapphire was seen as a contestant in the Dark Side Club.

This precious blue stone is well-adapted to the making of magical weapons. Why blue? Maybe because the lazy fools who made this game flicked a coin and came up with that color...

Sapphire is a precious stone.

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

A sapphire is a blue gem used in Crafting and Fletching. An uncut sapphire can be cut by a player with level 20 crafting by using it with a chisel, which makes the uncut sapphire into a sapphire and yields 50 crafting experience.

Sapphire can be obtained in several ways. Players can get them randomly while mining ores, as drops from monsters or by selecting them as a reward from Random Event gifts. With level 40 mining and Shilo Village quest completed players can mine the gem rocks in Shilo Village. Gem rocks may also appear while playing the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame, where players can mine them 3 times. A quick way to get uncut Sapphires is Wall safe cracking in Rogue's den, but this requires level 50 thieving. Sapphires also can be found on top of a large hill covered by spiders in the Wilderness, just south of the Wilderness Members' Fence, west of the Greater Demon Ruins, on Trollweiss Mountain, and on a small island near the Rock Crabs in Rellekka (obtain using Telekinetic grab). Uncut sapphires can also be found in the King Black Dragon Lair.

Sapphires may be sold to the gem store in Falador west of the castle, to the gem stall in the Ardougne marketplace, or to the gem trader in Al Kharid. Uncut sapphires (only) may be sold to the gem trader in TzHaar City for 3 Tokkul or less, depending upon inventory. The TzHaar gem trader carries one uncut sapphire in inventory and will sell it for 37 Tokkul. Most players do not sell sapphires to NPCs, as often much better prices can be obtain by selling them on the Grand Exchange. Uncut sapphire in particular are often in big demand on the exchange.

Members can use the Fletching skill to cut a sapphire into sapphire bolt tips by using a chisel on a 'cut' sapphire at level 56 fletching. Cutting a sapphire into bolt tips grants the player 4 experience in the fletching skill and gives the player 12 sapphire bolt tips.

There is a cave to the northwest of Rellekka where up to 8 uncut sapphires can be mined for The Tale of the Muspah quest. These rocks do not respawn.

  • Prior to the introduction of Grand Exchange, the examine text on uncut stones said 'This would be worth more if it was cut'. However after Grand Exchange was introduced, such description no longer matched the actual market facts and thus this was changed.

The Star Wars wiki of fan invention.

Sapphire was human female who worked as a receptionist at Talacca's landspeeder repair garage on Rindao. She later opened up her own cantina. When the newly-formed Empire closed Talacca's garagae, he became Sapphire's secret partner in running her cantina. However, the Empire found out about the arrangement and raided the cantina. Talacca, Sapphire, and their employee Zivone LaChar attempted to flee the planet in some G-class shuttles they borrowed from Talacca's friends. Zivone and Talacca reached Corellia, but Sapphire's craft was destroyed before she could enter hyperspace.
