Sandworm is a genus in the Amorph Family introduced in Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess. Sandworms are massive, extremely rare creatures once thought to be little more than a myth. That changed in the Crystal War, when there was unexplained - and brief - resurgence of them. They haven't been seen since, and can only be encountered when traveling back in time. Only two species of Sandworm have been observed, and both are Notorious Monsters.

Special Attacks

• Aeolian Void: Cone Attack damage, Silence, and Blind.
• Dessication: Single target attack that can remove some or all equipment, reset Job Ability cooldowns to max, and Knockback.
• Doomvoid: Draws in and teleports all players within 25' to a BCNM area, where they must face a Lambton Worm, Guivre, King Arthro, or Serket. Only used by Sandworms.
• Dustvoid: Cone Attack damage, Knockback, and removes all equipment.
• Extreme Purgation: AoE attack that steals status effects, both positive and negative.
• Slaverous Gale: Cone Attack damage.
